Our book buying hours are Monday - Friday, from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, no appointment necessary.*

Baker Book House loves to buy your used religious books. Whether you want to sell a few books or an entire library, our staff is excited to purchase the books you no longer need. Drop off your books during our drop-off window, and any books we buy we will offer payment by check or in-store credit. Any books we do not buy will be returned to the customer or donated to Christian Resource International or FREE Prison Ministry.

Due to the high volume of books we receive, we cannot process your used books while you wait. We will take one to two business days to evaluate your books. Once we process your books, we will mail you a check within 7-10 business days or in-store credits (gift card) will be held for you at the information desk. If necessary, we will reach out with any follow-up questions.

When you arrive, please feel free to use the designated used book parking space, near the entrance labeled "Door 1". Bring your books to that door and our team will be happy to assist you.

Will you buy a non-Christian book?

While we buy books from a wide range of views and traditions, we do only buy Christian books.

Are there any books you do not buy?

We are unable to accept home school curriculum and materials, Sunday school curriculum and materials, study guides, DVDs, CDs, and sheet music.

Are there any books you will always buy?

Due to market conditions and inventory levels, it is impossible to say what books we will be interested in on any given day. We evaluate used books on their condition, current retail value, and customer demand.

How do I get paid?

You can choose between in-store credit or check for payment.

What happens if you do not want some of my books?

If we cannot purchase your books, we will hold them for you to pick up. If you do not want the unsold books, we will gladly donate them to Christian Resource International or FREE Prison Ministry. Any books not claimed after two weeks will be donated.

I just heard that my books have been processed, but I cannot come in right away. How long do I have to pick up the leftover books?

Books must be picked up within two weeks of evaluation or they will be donated as designated above.

Do you accept used book donations?

We do! Please call ahead if you want to make a donation.

Is there a limit to the number of books I can bring?

If you have more than 15 boxes please call 616-957-3110 and ask for Matt or Louis to discuss a good drop off time.
