Need a Sales Tax Exemption?

If you qualify for a sales tax exemption, please complete the exemption process before placing your order.
We cannot refund sales tax after a purchase is made.

Follow these simple steps:

1. Create an account
   Click the person icon in the top right corner of our website and sign in or create an account. Be sure to include your shipping address.

2. Request the exemption link
   Email us at help@bakerbookhouse.com and ask for the sales tax exemption form.
   If your account email is different from the one you're using to contact us, please include both.

3. Look for an email from Avalara
   You’ll receive an email from notifications@email.certcapture.avalara.io.
   It usually arrives quickly—check your junk or spam folder just in case.

4. Complete the exemption form
   Click the link in the email to open the Avalara CertExpress site.
   Follow the prompts to complete your tax exemption based on your location.

   If you upload a document instead of using the form, approval may take longer.

5. Watch for confirmation
   When your exemption is approved, you'll get a confirmation email from Avalara CertCapture.

6. Now you're good to go!
   Once approved, your orders will no longer be charged sales tax.

   Important: If you had items in your cart before completing the exemption, you’ll need to remove them and start a new cart to ensure the tax is removed.
