Our Name: Inviting Kids to Know the Provision and Tenderness of Jesus
The name “Seed & Sparrow” comes from two metaphors Jesus used in his preaching. “Seeds” represent God’s Word, which is the foundation and focal point of our imprint. And Jesus talked about God caring for sparrows despite their small size and powerlessness—which is something we believe children can relate to. Also, sparrows eat seeds, which is exactly what we want children to do with God’s Word (literarily, that is. Not literally).
