What is The Bible Recap?

The Bible Recap (TBR) is a Bible reading guide! Following a chronological Bible reading plan, the recaps explain and connect the story of Scripture, section by section. Creator and host, Tara-Leigh Cobble, highlights and summarizes that day’s Bible reading in a casual, easy to understand way and helps you see what God has to say about Himself in the story He’s telling.

Each day’s Bible reading is approximately 12 minutes long and each recap is about 8 minutes long.

Why read the Bible in a year?

When you open up your Bible, you might be tempted to look for steps you need to take to appease God and have a perfect, joy-filled life, leading you to hover over the same passages of Scripture and disregard the rest. But that approach will have you dropping down in the middle of a movie and staying for five minutes, with no real idea of the story line or who the characters were, and hoping to understand it. Not only is it impossible to understand something when you handle it that way, but it's also impossible to love it.

The Bible Recap 365-Day Chronological Study Bible invites you into a 365-day Bible reading plan. Each day, you'll start by reading that day’s portion of the Bible, an average of three chapters or about twelve minutes of reading. This is my third time through the Bible with Bible Recap. I have found I am less distracted when I use this resource. I use an audible Bible app and listen to the passage while I read the scripture. Then I use the Bible Recap app to listen to Tara Leigh. This works great for when I travel too.
